The episode, The Parting of the Ways, will bridge the gap between episodes nine and ten with a storyline focusing on what happens when down-and-out Alistair (Joe McFadden) is released from custody.
Slowly following Alistair’s descent into madness, the webisode portrays the seedy underbelly of life on the streets and presents an alternative viewpoint to the main harassment storyline, which centres on his relationship with paramedic Polly (Sophia di Martino).
Executive producer Belinda Campbell said: “We are always looking at new ways to add value for our loyal fans and this innovative mini-episode will open a window on a hitherto unseen world and give viewers access to a character they wouldn’t have in a normal episode.
The webisode will be posted at bbc.co.uk/casualty and will also be available via the red button and as a downloadable mobisode.
Joe will be starring in BBC's Casualty.
The first episode is at 8.15pm on Saturday 12th, followed on Sunday 13th by the second part at 8pm.
He plays Alistair, a young homeless man. As far as we know Joe is featuring in ten episodes of the series.

Joe McFadden will be appearing in the new series of Casualty, which starts in the autumn. Joe plays new character, Alistair, a homeless guy who pushes paramedic Polly to the limits.
Joe is probably best known for his portrayal of PC Joe Mason in Heartbeat, but has also appeared in Cranford, Judge John Deed and The Crow Road. Joe previously appeared in Casualty in 2007 when he played a character trapped in a sewer on his stag night.

Joe on Paul O'Grady Show
Good News ! Joe is appearing on Paul O'Grady's show Channel 4, 5pm on Wednesday 13th May.
HEARTBEAT DEFINITELY AXED?
Since last week it's official that the filming of Hearbeat will be suspended in May. There's more about it in the Heartbeat section and the Syrup and Feathers.
As many will probably be aware - there are many rumours circulating in the media at present that Heartbeat and it's spin-off programme The Royal are to be axed. ITV state that Heartbeat will be on screen until 2010 and that filming is taking a break as episodes have been stockpiled.
We will endeavour to keep this site updated with news on Heartbeat, if we can separate fact from fiction.
This is ITV's statement (29th January 2009)

Axing reports untrue
Reports that ITV dramas Heartbeat and its spin-off show The Royal are being axed are untrue, an ITV spokesman has confirmed.
In fact a large number of episodes of both shows have been planned for the future.
The spokesperson said: "Heartbeat and The Royal are an important part of the ITV schedule and are currently in production.
"Production will take a rest after this year's filming finishes, but a large number of episodes have already been stockpiled."
On a more personal level, I blame ITV schedulers who, by accident or design, have allowed Heartbeat to be shown in dribs and drabs, not allowing the series to gain momentum with any long running storylines.

The forum site, Joe McFadden Appreciation fansite was unavailable yesterday, 15th October 2008. It now appears to be back to normal.

Lots of people have asked where they can write to Joe - well I emailed his agents some time ago to ask if they still represented him, but I've had no response. I think the best bet for the time being is to write to him c/o:

Joe is reading from this children's book on BBC7 at 7am on Monday 26th November. You can find this on Sky and Virgin TV channels. We think it's being continued throughout the week, but you need to listen as there are three stories, and today, Joe's was the third.
If you can't listen to it "live", then you can listen online:
